SearchWiki

I am intrigued. In general, I use a Google search to provide me with links to things I don't know, so the most obvious use for the promote/demote concept in search results is to stick the stuff I have come across before lower in the list of results, so that I can see the newer stuff more easily. Only, I suspect that if Google are 'leveraging' the information available to them from my actions, this will give them precisely the wrong impression. I imagine they would think people would promote results they found useful, and demote the irrelevant. Personally, I skip the irrelevant, but allow it to trigger side thoughts as I skim past it.

Do I need guidance notes on how to use SearchWiki? What I could really do with is a 'sticky' link, which puts things I will want to use again over in another column. I also need a rating box, so I can know how useful I found it. And a believability rating, so I can keep a note of whether it was useful because it was right, or useful precisely because it was wrong. I also need a 'recommend' link which carries with it something to say it was me that recommended it, so people who know I am always right can follow it, and those who know I am always wrong can ignore it. I need a trust network built in to the Google results page, already. Get on with it and fix it for me Google!
